The upsurge of interest in tug modelling has resulted in a big demand for a range of Kort props, with nozzles to suit. To keep things simple (the possible combination of blade styles and nozzle shapes is almost unlimited) we standardise on a four blade Kaplan style propeller for most sizes. Five blades is also an option on the larger props. We have got together with Brian at Mobile Marine, to ensure that our props will also suit his range of nozzles. Our nozzles are steerable, made of cast aluminium with steel pins and brass tubes. They are the correct venturi shape for increased thrust (20% more than a prop of the same diameter without a nozzle).
Reference numbers for this range give the diameter in inches followed by the pitch in inches. Eg. 1920 is 1.9" dia. x 2" pitch.
The typical thread types for these props are M2 (for very small props), M3, M4 and M5. You can specify another thread type if you know exactly what you need.
